Kubina Racing
The Kubina Racing Centre has been around since January 2021, unfortunately due to the Covid19 pandemic, they had to wait until January 2022 to open their doors for the first time.
“The idea of the Kubina Racing Center is to create a contact point for people who are enthusiastic about motor sports. On the one hand, you can experience the racing feeling up close in simulators with professional equipment, but you can also exchange ideas with other motorsport enthusiasts while drinking a coffee or cold drink of your choice.” – Antonio Kubina, founder of Kubina Racing
For Kubina Racing, it is very clear that sim racing is for everyone. Sim racing is a great way to love motorsport and to experience it at a reasonable price. Antonio Kubina wants to stress that although sim racing and real racing belong together, that they are to be considered two separate sports.
“It is important to mention that SimRacing should not be seen purely as a stepping stone, because it also offers a very high level of competition and should therefore be seen as a competition in its own right in which you want to achieve something.” – Antonio Kubina, founder of Kubina Racing
There is hardly any simulation on the market that is as close to the real thing as sim racing. In the simulator, you can use the steering wheel and pedals to learn and train a wide variety of things, which you can then transfer to the real car. There are enough examples that sim racing drivers can be successful in real motorsport; one example is Laurin Heinrich (Porsche Junior Driver). Laurin started as a sim racer, and nowadays he is one of the top Porsche Junior drivers, having won Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland 2022.
“That’s why I think sim racing should be a bigger part of promoting young talent in real motorsport.” – Antonio Kubina, Founder of Kubina Racing
“From Sim to Real” Project
Sim racing is a very special experience. The simulators are ideal for building your knowledge and gaining muscle memory on track. From the right braking point to the ideal line, the simulators offer you the best and most real feedback possible. With the ability to use advanced steering wheels & pedals and display laser-scanned race tracks, sim racing has become a serious training method for real motorsport. Throttle and brake are operated with real pedals, the steering wheel represents real steering forces via force feedback.
Antonio Kubina, founder of Kubina Racing, believes in the fascination of sim racing and wants to give talented drivers, who have proven their skills on the virtual track, the chance to prove themselves in real motorsport.
“Together with our partners and sponsors, we want to promote these talents and carefully support them on
their journey. We use the support of professional teams and drivers to make the entry into motorsport as successful and smooth as possible.” – Antonio Kubina, founder of Kubina Racing
Therefore, Kubina Racing is proud to support one driver each year who will receive a completely free season for entry into motorsport, as well as further support by winning a competition. This is their contribution to giving talented sim racing drivers a chance to prove their skills in real racing and making their dreams come true.
VRS x Kubina Racing
Kubina Racing first came in contact with VRS when founder Antonio Kubina tried out the VRS DirectForce Pro Pedals at a friend’s house.
“I was simply thrilled by the pedals, I was just amazed. For me, the best thing about VRS and also the reason why I wanted to work with VRS is that it is about getting the best at a good price.
On the one hand, VRS has a top price/performance ratio; you get absolute professional hardware at a super price, which the top tier sim racers use.
On the other hand, the possibility of being able to simply become faster via the VRS School area by making the data of professionals available, is just amazing. You have one portal: setup, hot lap and telemetry, so that you can easily compare data from pro sim racers with your own data.” – Antonio Kubina, founder of Kubina Racing
