Avid Motorsport enthusiast with 10 years of experience and success across multiple sims with My3id Gaming and Coanda Simsport. Multiple race driver competition finalist including the 2012 GT Academy.
Born in the Channel Islands, David took up Sim-racing as a serious hobby 10 years ago, racing online for the first time with Live for Speed. During his career, he has had success in various leagues on a variety of simulators, including iRacing where his efforts in the 2011 Intel GP series earned him 3rd place overall and $2000 at the live finals at CeBIT, Germany.
David featured in arguably Sim racing’s most competitive league the iRacing Drivers World Championship for 2 years running, finishing 9th in the 2011 season end standings.
In 2012 he focused his efforts on the 2012 GT Academy, a highly regarded competition utilising Gran Turismo 5 on the PlayStation 3, aimed at giving the winner a chance to race for real at the 24 hours of Dubai with Nissan. Having made the UK national finals in 2011, this year David made it to the final stage known at Race Camp at Silverstone, featuring various real world driving, physical and mental challenges, where he found himself eliminated as a regional runner up at the very last hurdle in the competition.
After a couple of years of relative inactivity, David is currently as active than ever, having reached the finals of both the 2015 Ginetta want2race and Team Hard real world race driver competitions, and has qualified to compete in the iRacing World Championship Blancpain GT Series in 2016. In addition, he frequents several sim race centres across the UK where he often tops the monthly laptime competitions, and has targeted the European MX5 Cup, Formula Renault 2K World Cup and finally the UK & IRE Skip Barber leagues for the 2016 Season 2 on iRacing.
